Happy 3rd Birthday William!

May 12 - Sunday
Williams birthday landed on a Tuesday this year. Auntie Sarah came to visit. We planned to have his birthday party while Auntie was here....unfortunately that day was also Mother's Day, so it was a small turn out to his party. It ended up being loads of fun though!

Williams party was in his favorite park. We reserved the picnic shelter earlier in the week. Party Favors: bubbles and glow sticks!
During the day someone even drew a chalk drawing at the entrance in front of the shelter. It totally fit the theme of his party, Rainbows!
We also had a bubble machine! William loved the bubbles!
So did Daphne.
We also had some playground fun.
(too many good photos!)
On the menu: Pizza (no photo)
Fruit (in rainbow order) AND
Rainbow cupcakes. William didn't like being sung to....it really upset him.

The big cupcake and bubbles made everything better!
He really got into unwrapping presents this year!
Cool! Thank you Daphne! a ball! Posh (Pops), blow please!

May 14 - (Tuesday) William's Official Birthday
William went to preschool. They had a sign at the entrance for him!
and a special toy to play with
When I dropped him off I also left treats for the class. Gogurt and cupcakes. He was all sugared up when I picked him up! Then we went to visit GeeGee and Mops. Mops had an ice cream train cake. William immediately said Thomas!
No singing but William liked blowing out the candle on his own.
Then he got his gift from GeeGee and Mops!
And he loved it!
Then he helped Mops water her plants!
Sport supervised
Sweet Williams in Mops' garden. Party Favor from Williams first birthday. Auntie Sarah seeded them for his party!
When we got home William ended the day with a bath. No better way then with a little glow stick fun.
Then he cuddled under his new rainbow quilt for a little bit before going to bed.
William likes the purple best! Love you William hope you had a special day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

William came home from preschool with a class list for Valentines Day cards. I had intended for this year to be store bought because of time but didn't really like any of the ones we saw. So how hard or time consuming can it be to make a card, right? Well, I got fancier than I wanted. It's a good thing we didn't wait until the night before!
William LOVES fish and his classroom has fish so I thought we'd do a fish theme. A friend of mine posted this picture on Facebook and the idea was born.

We started started with cutout fish and I somehow convinced William to paint the fish. This was a feet considering he doesn't like doing the same thing for a long time. It pretty much took 2 different time periods to get this done. Then I printed the text onto card stock, cut and folded the paper, glued on the turquoise, punched holes for the bubbles on the dark blue (with a thicker piece of paper behind it) and glued that piece of tissue on top of the turquoise. William was interested in telling me which fish goes to which classmate. He was very particular when it came to the girls. Once the decision was made the fish and name stickers where placed/glued on each card. It was more time consuming than I wanted it to be but since we only needed to make 7 it wasn't that big a deal.

Of course William got one too from Mommy. He picked out which fish he liked.
This morning we worked on a special card for his teachers. He really enjoyed the hand print. Here is Ms. Reesie's card. Ms. Courtney and Ms. Kathleen got one too.
We still haven't finished his grandparent cards. Hopefully we will get a chance to work on that Friday or Saturday. They will be late (sorry grandparents) but we still love you bunches!
